2 dedicated websites
To help students with their mobility projects, the International Partnerships Board provides several information resources, including:
“Mobility” and “Moodle” sites (access reserved for CentraleSupélec students)
International mobility sites (www.mobility.ecp.fr and https://moodle.supelec.fr/) inform students about the mobility programs available to them in the two programs, as well as about the countries and partner institutions, fields of study they can follow abroad and administrative procedures for applying for a mobility placement.
Several advice and practical information sections are available to help students to prepare for their trip, and news and calendar pages keep students informed of events organized throughout the year by the International Partnerships Board.
The international season, information meetings, the Exchange Fair and the International Office Association
For the École Centrale program
The international season takes place during the second semester of the 1st year and is punctuated by several flagship events:
- The international forum hosted by the International Partnership Diplomas Directorate presents mobility opportunities in the form of workshops (programs, financial aid, careers advice, etc.)
- Country round tables presented by regional directors inform students about the academic partners and economic issues relevant to the countries proposed.
- Informational meetings are held in the 1st and 2nd years concerning mobility and financial aid on our different campuses.
- Events and evening activities are also organized by the International Office Association in Châtenay-Malabry or Gif-sur-Yvette as well as by international student clubs to expose students to the whole international dimension of the four campuses.
For the Supélec program
Several large information meetings in the Amphitheater, thematic presentations, individual meetings, exchanges with alumni and Coffee Talks (Thursday afternoons) are held throughout the 1st and 2nd years on the three Supélec program campuses, during which students can learn more about the double degree, the semester abroad and mobility resources.
The Exchange Fair held on the Châtenay-Malabry and Gif-sur-Yvette campuses in April are an opportunity for students to meet several partner universities and to find out about the various training programs available to them.
A Mobility team is here to support you
Throughout their program, students receive personalized supervision to help them choose the mobility program which is best adapted to their personal and professional project.
The CentraleSupélec International Partnerships Board is available to help them to prepare their international placement. The Board supports them at each stage of their project, from the initial orientation meeting to academic validation of the international component of their program.
Instructors responsible for supervising placement in a country or geographical area are also in charge of finding and maintaining the best partnerships and supervising students in their endeavors.

International placement selection and procedures
Selection and eligibility
École Centrale program
International placement authorization requests are examined at the end of the 1st year by the Board of Studies and the International Partnership Diplomas Directorate.
The selection for an academic semester and double-degree placement is made according to two criteria: grades obtained by the end of the 1st year and the student’s goals. When submitting their mobility request in March or May, students must express between three and five choices (countries and institutions). They will be informed of the resulting outcome in March or July. A repositioning session will be held in September, depending on the amount of spaces left, for students who were not admitted in the first session.
Certain programs have a specific selection procedure carried out in March (one-year program in Cambridge and Imperial College London, alternating double degree).
For internships in companies or laboratories, the choice of destination is virtually limitless and particularly depends on the internship offer as well as the laboratory opportunities available. CentraleSupélec nevertheless advises students to choose within its preferred countries, whose economic and industrial potential are a major asset for engineers.
Once admitted, the students are supported and advised in their actions by the International Partnership Diplomas Directorate if they are preparing for an academic placement, and by the internship advisory team if they are preparing for an internship. For more information on administrative procedures, visit www.mobility.ecp.fr or https://moodle.supelec.fr/ (access reserved for CentraleSupélec students).
Supélec program
International placement authorization requests are examined at the end of the first year for the semester placement request and throughout the 2nd year for the double-degree (4 waves of application: October/November/January/March) by the Board of Studies and the International Partnership Diplomas Directorate.
Whether you are leaving for an academic semester or for the double degree, selection criteria focus on goals, behavior and grades obtained in the 1st and 2nd years. Selection criteria in the case of the double degree is, however, more strict (limited number of places and a minimum academic level of students is sometimes imposed by partner universities).
Internships in companies abroad are managed by the Board of Studies, more specifically by the academic Heads of each class year.
Scholarships and financial aid
To address the diversity of individual circumstances and because CentraleSupélec requires 100% of its students to embark on an international experience, partners and funding solutions are proposed to enable all students to complete their professional and personal projects.
Mobility programs completed within an exchange agreement do not require additional tuition fees to be paid. However, depending on the country of destination, the necessary budget can vary considerably, both for the cost of travel and for living costs during the stay.
To help students in their mobility programs, CentraleSupélec awards a certain number of scholarships granted by various organizations, according to criteria concerning destinations and sometimes means tested. These are aids to support mobility that aim to cover at least part of any extra costs incurred by the mobility project. These aids are limited and are not granted automatically.
Examples of scholarships

- Franco-German University (UFA) (Germany)
